At Bluefield Acres we raise free range Wyandotte chickens on rich Bladen County, NC soil. During the day the chickens roam our 20-acre farm, eating insects to their heart's content. The chickens are so effective at bugging that our fire ant problem has nearly disappeared, and eating insects makes their eggs incredibly rich and tasty. Backyard chickens like ours are known to produce eggs that are high in omega 3 fatty acids and beta carotene, and the eggs are lower in cholesterol than standard commercial eggs from caged birds.
